D&B and Acxiom Team with Sypherlink to Provide Government Data-Sharing and Intelligence Solution.

DUBLIN, Ohio -- Commercial business information from D&B (NYSE:DNB) and consumer reference information from Acxiom Corporation's Risk Mitigation line of business (NASDAQ:ACXM) are being incorporated into the Sypherlink NIE Gateway solution for government data sharing and intelligence, announced separately today by the information-management-software company.

"D&B's global commercial database of more than 110 million business records, combined with Acxiom's robust consumer reference database, and powered by Sypherlink's patented, data mapping and virtualization technology, provides government agencies unparalleled, actionable intelligence," said Sypherlink CEO James Paat. "Agencies previously unable to spend the time or resources required to integrate these rich data sources will benefit immediately from the NIE Gateway's pre-built connections."

"Law enforcement officials and intelligence analysts often work from outdated or incomplete data, putting them at an obvious disadvantage," said Wesley Wong, a former FBI senior executive who set up the Bureau's New York fusion center post-9/11 and is now a director of business development at counterterrorism-software provider Harbinger Technologies, an Acxiom company.

"The NIE Gateway solution offers a more complete picture, by combining identity resolution across both internal agency and Acxiom consumer and D&B commercial databases," continued Wong, who had 30 years with the Bureau. "The more background information investigators and analysts have, the better equipped they are to do their jobs. However, the cost of sharing and analyzing information is prohibitive."
