Business Editors/Hi-Tech Writers

ARLINGTON, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 5, 2001

Cyveillance, Inc., the leading provider of automated Internet Intelligence, today announced it has formed a strategic partnership with Biocode Inc., the leading provider of anti-counterfeit services and product tracking solutions for pharmaceutical companies.

Biocode's solutions use immunoassay Immunoassay

Cyveillance will couple its online unauthorized distribution solution with Biocode's existing offering to identify vulnerable links in the physical distribution chain that will be tracked using Biocode's products.

Industry experts suggest that some 25 percent of unauthorized distribution of pharmaceutical drugs takes place online. Biocode will use that information and analyze the actual products being sold to determine their authenticity. The result is a holistic solution for pharmaceutical companies, which can now use the team for both their online and physical distribution management services.

"Cyveillance's alliance with Biocode brings a much needed solution to the pharmaceutical industry. Unauthorized distribution is rampant - to combat this concern, pharmaceutical companies must address their distribution systems both online and offline," said Panos Anastassiadis, president and CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization.
