Sentara Healthcare, the top integrated health network in the United States, is in the first phase of a multi-phase Intranet project using the Cytura content management platform. Sentara purchased the XML-based Enterprise Syndication Platform from Cytura to build an enterprise-wide Intranet that interfaces with the organization's classical applications and is easily maintainable within established business workflows. In this phase, Sentara is applying the Cytura solution as its content management infrastructure to syndicate content from each of 600 department contributors to be organized and distributed to 14,000 employees, physicians, managed care members and patients. One of the first components will be the policy and procedure documentation.
