Cytoclonal Appoints Dr. Kendall N. Houk to Drug Design Board; Company's Drug Design Advisors Meet in Jerusalem.

Cytoclonal Pharmaceutics Inc. (NASDAQ: CYPH) announced today the appointment of Dr. Kendall N. Houk to the advisory board for the Company's drug design program called Quantum Core Technology(TM) (QCT(TM)). Dr. Houk is a world leader in the field of protein mechanism and received the prestigious Schrodinger Medal in 1999. Cytoclonal's QCT(TM)novel drug design program is based on the mechanism of the protein targets. Dr. Houk was Director of the Chemistry Division of the National Science Foundation and is a member of the National Academy of Science, USA.

Dr. Houk and Dr. John Pople, who received the 1998 Nobel Prize for Chemistry and is also a member of Cytoclonal's QCT(TM)advisory board, presented the LISE MEITNER LECTURES at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem on May 1, 2000. Dr. Pople lectured on his pioneering work in quantum chemistry and Dr. Houk lectured on his outstanding work on protein mechanisms.

Also on May 1, a special Cytoclonal drug design meeting took place in Jerusalem, to discuss the novel approach of Cytoclonal's QCT(TM) program for cancer and viral disease products as well as expansion of the program to a whole range of other diseases. Participants included Dr. Dorit Arad, Executive Vice President of drug design at Cytoclonal; Dr. Arthur P. Bollon, Chairman and CEO of Cytoclonal; and Cytoclonal advisory board members Dr. Kendall Houk, Dr. John Pople, and Dr. Yitzhak Apeloig, a world leader in quantum chemistry and Professor at Technion-Israel Institute of Technology.
