CytoDyn is developing the first targeted immune therapy for treating HIV/AIDS HIV/AIDS Human Immunodeficiency Virus/Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome  that significantly reduced viral burden in preliminary studies. Although the Company's scientific activities are carried out by facilities in California, CytoDyn maintains its business offices in Santa Fe because of the significant savings in overhead, and because of the rich scientific environment created by the Los Alamos National Laboratory Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) (previously known at various times as Site Y, Los Alamos Laboratory, and Los Alamos Scientific Laboratory) is a United States Department of Energy (DOE) national laboratory, managed and operated by Los Alamos National  and its expanding role in biotechnology.
