CytoDyn Sponsored Team Hope Raises The Most Money for Emory University.

SANTA FE, N.M. -- CytoDyn, Inc. (OTCBB:CYDY) was advised today that Team Hope, the charity bicycle riders sponsored by the Company, earned $10,910 for the Emory Vaccine Center during this year's Action Cycling 200, a challenging two-day, 200-mile bicycle ride that took place the weekend of May 20-21, 2006 in Georgia.

This is as compared to $6,545 contributed by the next highest earning team. A total of $55,463 was raised for the Vaccine Center at Emory University. Team Hope was told by the Center's staff that the Action Cycling 200 event is Emory's single largest fundraising event of the year with 100% of the money going directly to research. Gustave Thomas served as Captain of the Team Hope cyclists. He and John Beal, another member of the team, are on the Board of Action Cycling in Atlanta, the non-profit organization that promotes the annual fundraising and HIV/AIDS awareness event. Tom Godfrey, another member of the team, told CytoDyn that the performance of Team Hope was not the best in terms of athletic prowess but did excel in raising research funds, which is what the event was all about.

CytoDyn's targeted immune therapy for HIV/AIDS is unrelated to the work being done at Emory, and the Company's anticipated vaccine projects are centered at a different university. CytoDyn's sponsorship of Team Hope was strictly a matter of good corporate citizenship, according to CytoDyn CEO Allen D. Allen.
