CytoCore Announces Quarterly Filing Delayed 2 Weeks.

CHICAGO -- CytoCore, Inc. (OTCBB:MCDG) announced the Company would be filing its 10QSB for the first quarter of 2006 on or before Friday June 9th. The new accounting, Amper, Politziner and Mattia LLC, who took over the financial auditing functions for CytoCore on May 15th, believes they will not be completed with their review of the quarterly financials until such time.

CytoCore's CFO, Robert McCullough Jr., stated, "This delay is a matter resulting from the transition only and we expect to have the quarterly financials reviewed and filed well within the 30 day extension period provided for by the NASDAQ exchange."
