Its main activities are the promotion and marketing of USB, Wireless USB, USB On-The-Go, and the maintenance of the specifications, as well as a compliance program.  to define criteria for designing dual-role USB host/peripheral functionality into portable devices. The supplement to the USB 2.0 specification enables manufacturers to deploy products that can communicate and exchange information with each other directly without relying on a host PC. Cypress's EZ-Host solutions are targeted at standalone embedded applications, including DVD players, set-top boxes, Internet appliances and print servers; whereas EZ-OTG provides connectivity between portable devices, such as cell phones, PDAs, video and digital still cameras, MP3 players and mass storage peripherals.
