: CY) today announced the signing of Axis Components Inc., as a new distributor of Cypress products in North America North America, third largest continent (1990 est. pop. 365,000,000), c.9,400,000 sq mi (24,346,000 sq km), the northern of the two continents of the Western Hemisphere. .

Axis, which has a reputation for focused distribution in key product areas, will distribute Cypress's broad product line of high-performance integrated circuits.

According to Dan McCranie, Cypress vice president of sales and marketing, "Axis is a key addition to our distribution network, with its fast growth and highly technical orientation. Their entrepreneurial approach is a good match for Cypress, as we continually seek innovative ways to distribute our products."

Cliff Keller, president of Axis, stated, "I am very impressed with Cypress's ability to gain and maintain leadership in so many high-technology product areas. The addition of Cypress allows Axis to fill a broad range of customer needs with one supplier, making them the cornerstone line on our line card."
