NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, Texas -- Cypress Software Systems, LP has named Rachel Ryan senior vice president of professional services and chief financial officer (CFO). She is responsible for growing Cypress' professional services practice and will oversee the company's financial activities. Ryan brings more than 17 years of expertise in the banking and finance industry to the position.

"We are very fortunate to add a person of Rachel's caliber and know-how to our executive team. She'll play a major role as we continue to grow our professional services division, and help our clients deploy best strategies and practices when using our software products," said Stephen G. Prior to Cypress, Ryan held several commercial risk management and commercial lending positions at Citigroup over a six-year span. During her tenure, she was chosen to attend Citigroup's exclusive Commercial Credit College, where she gained valuable commercial lending experience from some of the industry's top professionals.

Before Citigroup, Ryan worked four years as director of risk management for a small consumer risk management company, where she gained experience in the consumer lending field. She also has worked as CFO for Cypress on a part-time basis since the company was formed in 2000.

Ryan received her bachelor of business administration degree in accounting from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas in 1988. She is also a certified public accountant (CPA) in the state of Texas, licensed in 1991.
