Cypress Extends Aldec Support to Next-generation Warp Software; Added Functionality To Include HDL Graphical Design Entry and Full Behavioral Simulation.

Cypress Semiconductor Corporation (NYSE:CY) today announced that it will include more Aldec Inc. tools in future high-end Warp(TM) products. The agreement extends an arrangement under which Cypress bundles Aldec timing simulation capabilities in its $99 Warp software product.

Under the new agreement, Cypress will continue to include Aldec's Graphical Finite State Machine Editor and Dynamic Timing Simulator in its $99 Warp software. Both of these tools are based on Aldec's popular Active-HDL(TM) product. In future Warp products, Cypress also will provide additional, high-end Aldec tools, such as a graphical HDL block editor, automatic text HDL to graphical design translation, HDL source code debugging, and full behavioral and timing simulation with testbench support.
