Logic Corp. and VLSI Technology Inc. announced today that the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit held that the three companies' plastic encapsulation processes did not infringe the Texas Instruments' patents at issue.

The decision by the appellate court affirms the ruling of the trial court, a U.S. Federal District Court in Texas, which was issued last year.

Commenting on the ruling, Cypress President and CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  T.J. Rodgers said, "We believed all along that TI's claims of patent infringement were simply wrong. While this matter has consumed considerable unproductive spending by all parties, we are pleased to see that now both the U.S. Court of Appeals and the trial court have found in our favor."

"The Court of Appeals' decision represents a strong and clear endorsement that the three California companies' decision to present a common defense in resisting TI's patent infringement claims was the correct one. We trust the court's ruling will bring this six-year-old litigation An action brought in court to enforce a particular right.
