Cypango Ventures -- drilling to commence shortly at Yamba Lake.VANCOUVER, B.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 8, 1996--The company is pleased to announce that through its operator, Canamera Geological Ltd., seven first priority targets have been identified on the Yamba Lake claim block (Joint Venture with Mill City/Tanqueray). These targets were identified by kimberlite indicator mineral dispersion trains with high concentrations of the indicator minerals-olivine olivine (ŏlĭv`ēn), an iron-magnesium silicate mineral, (Mg,Fe)2SiO4, crystallizing in the orthorhombic system. It is a common constituent of magnesium-rich, silica-poor igneous rocks; metamorphism of some high magnesium sediments also can form olivine. Dunite consists almost entirely of olivine., pyrope & eclogitic garnet, chrome diopside and ilmenite ilmenite (ĭl`mĕnīt), black mineral, iron titanium oxide, FeTiO3, crystallizing in the hexagonal system. It is sometimes found as tabular hexagonal crystals but occurs more commonly as small grains in igneous and metamorphic rocks and in sands derived from them.. The existence of these indicator mineral trains, combined with geophysical data previously obtained, indicate a large number of kimberlite targets. Five diamondiferous kimberlite pipes have already been proven to exist on the property. Drilling is expected to commence by Oct. 21. -0- CYPANGO VENTURES LTD.
