Cygnus Solutions, the leader in open source software, today announced it has extended its partnership with Fujitsu Limited and Fujitsu Microelectronics, Inc. to deliver its industry leading GNUPro(TM) software development tools on the FR (Fujitsu RISC) microprocessors and the recently announced Very Long Instruction Word (VLIW) FR-V Series.

The combination of Cygnus software and Fujitsu microprocessors is ideal for developing a diverse range of embedded applications in the digital consumer electronics, communications, and automotive markets worldwide.
