Organizers of two northern California Machine Tool shows, Cygnus Expositions and the American Machine Tool Distributors' Association (AMTDA), announced their agreement to serve the market with one, combined co-sponsored show in 2003 and beyond.

Cygnus Expositions, a division of business-to-business media leader Cygnus Business Media, will incorporate the AMTDA California Machine Tool Show exhibitors into its Pacific Coast Industrial and Machine Tool/Design Solutions West show, to be held in the Santa Clara Convention Center, November 11-13, 2003. The California Machine Tool Show, organized by the AMTDA had been scheduled for Santa Clara in September 2003. While Cygnus Expositions will handle all aspects of show management including booth space sales, attendee marketing, and operations, the AMTDA will play an active role in making sure that its members' interests are well served. AMTDA will continue to work with its members and Cygnus Expositions to make this event a success.

The Pacific Coast Industrial and Machine Tool Show is the longest running, largest and the most established show of its kind in Northern California. Over the years, major manufacturers and distributors of machine tools have been represented in this event. Once again, the show will be filled with metalcutting & metalforming machines, measuring equipment, EDM, tooling CAD/CAM, lasers, cutting tools, drilling, finishing and other manufacturing and industrial products. Attendees are buyers and specifiers of manufacturing facilities, which require custom machine tool cutting products. AMTDA represents the distributors of these products.
