Cygnet Storage Solutions Names Top Executive; Leading Storage Devices Manufacturer Bolsters Leadership to Capitalize on Growth Potential.

SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 29, 1998--Cygnet Storage Solutions, Inc. announced today the appointment of Lennart Hjord as president, chief executive officer and director, effective immediately.

Lennart Hjord brings to Cygnet over 20 years of senior executive experience in the information technology sector. Most recently, he was executive vice president at Syquest Technology Corporation in Fremont where he was responsible for the worldwide management of operations, manufacturing, planning, quality and customer support functions with more than 1000 employees reporting to him.

Prior to Syquest, he held executive positions with major corporations such as Quantum, Oracle, The Ask Group in the U.S. and Digital Equipment and IBM in Europe. He holds a master of science degree in electronics engineering from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden.
