OTC See over-the-counter market (OTC). BB: CYDS CYDS Centre for Youth Drug Studies (Australia) ) today announced results of operations for the second quarter and six months ended August 1, 1998. Net sales Net Sales The amount a seller receives from the buyer after costs associated with the sale are deducted. Notes: This amount is calculated by subtracting the following items from gross sales: merchandise returned for credit, allowances for damaged or missing goods, freight for the second quarter ended August 1, 1998 decreased by 22.7% to $8.5 million from $11.0 million for the comparable period in 1997. Net sales for the first six months ended August 1, 1998 were $14.7 million, a decrease of 20.8% from $18.6 million in the comparable period in 1997. The decreases in net sales for the second quarter and the first six months of 1998 were primarily attributable to decreases in sales to divisions of The Limited, Inc. of $2.6 million and $3.6 million, respectively. Net loss for the second quarter of 1998 was $1.1 million, or $0.09 on a per share basis, compared to a net loss of $2.8 million, or $0.23 on a per share basis, in the comparable prior period. Net loss for the first six months of 1998 was $2.5 million, or $0.20 on a per share basis, compared to a net loss of $7.4 million or $0.59 on a per share basis, in the comparable prior period.
