Cycomm, Transdata Services of Mexico sign cellular security distribution agreement.

MCLEAN, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 1, 1996--Cycomm International Inc. announced Monday it has reached agreement with Transdata Services of Mexico for the distribution of Cycomm's full line of cellular telephone security products throughout that country and South America.

Transdata, which is one of the largest information technology distribution and services companies in Mexico, expects to take advantage of the rapidly expanding cellular and wireless communications business throughout Latin America in selling Cycomm's 300 Series Products, which are exportable to that region under U.S. Department of Commerce regulations.

The agreement between the two firms was reached during the recently concluded Cellular Telephone Industry Association (CTIA) conference in Dallas. It marked the second agreement announced at the CTIA show for expansion of Cycomm into Mexico.

Earlier, Cycomm had revealed it sold its 300 Series, which included its privacy carrier rack, to Presis, a master Telcel agent in Mexico, one of that nation's cellular service providers. The Cycomm rack system will be co-located with Presis' cellular switch to provide privacy to its customers.
