The company has appointed Dave White as vice president of sales for North America and Asia-Pacific; Tony Newman as vice president of sales for Europe, Middle East and Africa; Paulo Hummel as vice president of sales for Latin America; and Patrick Whalen as vice president of strategic accounts. The appointments strengthen Cyclades' executive team and add executive level authority to relationships with strategic partners and customers.

With more than 20 years of technology industry experience, Dave White has been serving Cyclades in other senior executive positions for more than two years. Before joining Cyclades, he worked as a senior sales executive for Perle Systems, Chase Research and Lazernet. He has a proven record in managing sales teams and distribution contracts with a variety of resellers, distributors and OEMs. Early in his career, he worked as a technical consultant for ICL South Africa. White holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science from the University of South Africa and served in the South African Military as a base commander, earning the rank of Lieutenant.

Tony Newman brings more than 25 years of technology sales and marketing experience to Cyclades and has served the company as a senior sales executive since April of 2004. Prior to joining Cyclades, he held senior management positions with WorldCom and Bull Information Systems Ltd. His impressive record includes building successful partner programs and managing outsourcing contracts for local government and financial services customers. Newman holds a B.Sc. Hon degree from The University of Liverpool.

Paulo Hummel has more than 26 years' experience in the technology and telecommunications markets, and has held senior management positions in large multinational companies such as Olivetti, Ericsson and Flextronics. He has a degree in electrical engineering from Sao Paulo University (USP), postgraduate qualification in business management from the Getulio Vargas Foundation, and a specialization certificate from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Patrick Whalen brings more than 20 years of experience serving as a senior executive at Fortune 500 companies (Cisco, MCI) and early stage startup companies (nCircle, noHold, Raptor Systems, Logictier). Throughout his career, he has established a solid record by managing teams that have consistently exceeded expectations by building strong relationships with large multinational companies. He has a B.A. from Lake Forest College in Lake Forest, Ill.
