Cybex Launches Pro+ Treadmill with Advanced Functionality; Pro+ Expands Commercial Product Offering Serving $1.2 Billion Worldwide Commercial Fitness Market.

Cybex International, Inc. (AMEX: CYB), a leading exercise equipment manufacturer, today announced that it has expanded its commercial fitness product offering with the introduction of the Cybex Pro+ treadmill, which serves the $1.2 billion worldwide commercial fitness market.

The Cybex Pro+ is the next evolutionary step forward in treadmill design, providing users with advanced functionality, safety, workout data accuracy, comfort and convenience in an easy to use treadmill.

The Cybex Pro+ features a larger console enhanced with advanced technology and user-friendly functions and amenities. The quick start feature allows the user to enter a manual program with a single touch of the start key. The console features a split display, separated in two parts, facilitating the ease of program set up and data selection while providing the most requested information on the lower display. In addition, new contact heart rate technology is strategically positioned for optimal ergonomics while electronically capturing heart rate data with less interference. This new design allows the user to acquire heart rate information faster, more accurately and with greater reliability. Furthermore, the larger console has dual water bottle holders and a CD player compartment for the most convenient workout.

Most important, the Cybex Pro+ contains Safety Sentry(TM), a feature that detects if anyone is on or off the treadmill. This feature automatically stops the belt after the pre-selected time period which aids in keeping users safe. Additionally, there is a safety lanyard which can be pulled to immediately stop the belt from moving in the event of an emergency.

The Cybex Pro+ also contains the Cybex Programming Advantage, an interactive feature allowing the user to create and edit workouts on a PC and then transfer them to the treadmill. A powerful 3.0 horsepower continuous duty motor powers the Cybex Pro+ with a radial cooling fan and high efficiency Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) controller. The controller utilizes PWM technology and high-speed stability management for consistent speed control and smooth operation. Three-inch crowned rollers are designed for long bearing life and a running deck that flips and rotates providing up to four wear surfaces, lowering maintenance costs over the life of the treadmill.
