This newly granted issue comes within weeks following receipt of four other patents and as the company prepares to launch its central server-based system in U.S. casinos following intense attention at a recent trade show for its role in introducing the ground-breaking technology. The latest patent extends the company's strong intellectual portfolio with "trusted distributed downloadable" systems for the betting, gaming and leisure industries.

This "virtual" architecture allows hardware or software modules simply to be positioned anywhere on the distributed gaming network, resulting in a wide array of features and benefits. With this patent, as advances are made in biometric accuracy and real-time 3D video, they can be incorporated without having to upgrade the end terminals. The patent provides for the player experience to be enhanced regularly with the latest multimedia and computer advances, and for operators to no longer be concerned by technology obsolescence of their gaming terminals.
