ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Cybernet Medical, a leading developer of telemedicine technology for outpatient care, today announced that it is partnering with the New York City New York City: see New York, city.

) to provide Telehealth Equipment and Services for their patients. Under this agreement, Cybernet Medical will be providing the award-winning MedStar(TM) System for use by patients in Queens, the Bronx, Manhattan and Brooklyn.

"This is a great opportunity for HHC to improve the quality of life of their patients," says Eric Lichtenstein, Director of Cybernet Medical. "HHC is one of the largest care organizations in the world, and they really understand the benefits of a low-cost telemedicine solution -- that's why they chose the MedStar."

On a daily basis, patients will use Cybernet Medical's MedStar System in their homes to gather and record patient data readings that will be transmitted via standard internet and telephone lines to a central call center. There, the data will be reviewed by HHC medical personnel and checked against acceptable parameters determined by each patient's healthcare provider. Any changes in patient's data that exceed these parameters can then be immediately noted and addressed, minimizing the cost of unnecessary emergency room visits, reducing costs overall, and improving patient health.

Cybernet Medical will be displaying the MedStar System at the Health Care Association of New York State's Annual Home Care Meeting & Exhibition, June 12th and 13th, 2006 at the Saratoga Hotel & Conference Center in Saratoga Springs, New York "Saratoga Springs" redirects here.
