solution. This agent, Version 2.0 - which is certified compliant by SAP -- enhances the R/3 application by offering increased flexibility in the scheduling and monitoring of batch workload run within R/3 systems.

Part of Cybermation's Enterprise Systems Platform (ESP) scheduling and workload management solution, this agent will work with R/3 systems running on AIX (Advanced Interactive eXecutive) IBM's Unix-based operating system which runs on its Intellistation workstations and pSeries, p5, iSeries and i5 server families. (R), HP-UX HP's version of Unix that runs on its 9000 family. It is based on SVID and incorporates features from BSD Unix along with several HP innovations.

(R), Solaris(R) and Windows NT(R) operating system servers. Users will be able to monitor R/3 batch workload from the same workstations that they use for all applications.

"Cybermation's ability to manage workload seamlessly, in diverse platforms and across operating systems, is what makes ESP truly unique," explained Cybermation president, John Boyle. "Businesses rely on mission-critical applications like SAP R/3. As an enterprise workload management system, ESP now adds remarkable value to this world- class ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) An integrated information system that serves all departments within an enterprise. Evolving out of the manufacturing industry, ERP implies the use of packaged software rather than proprietary software written by or for one customer.  solution through advanced scheduling functionality."

Cybermation has started shipping this new release which provides SAP users with new advantages in monitoring, security, and in triggering workload based on file activity.

With this ESP Agent, users will be able to monitor R/3 workload, log files and job states from a single point and make changes to scheduled workload within the R/3 system any time up until execution. There is increased system security through the addition of a localized security file on the R/3 system application server and DES encryption of messages. Open systems administrators will be able to apply their security protocols to the execution of workload both within the R/3 environment and outside it. Greater scheduling flexibility is provided by additional file triggering options. Scheduled application execution can now be triggered by changes in file size, file ownership attributes and time since last file modification in addition to the existing presence, creation or deletion of files.

Cybermation anticipates that this ESP Agent release will provide productivity improvements for its customers by facilitating and simplifying scheduling in the SAP R/3 environment.
