CyberOptics Names Kathleen P. Iverson as President and Chief Executive Officer.

MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 19, 2002

CyberOptics Corporation (Nasdaq:CYBE) today announced that Kathleen (Kitty) P. Iverson has been named president and chief executive officer, effective January 1, 2003, as part of a planned management transition process.

Iverson, who joined CyberOptics as president and chief operating officer in January 2002, will replace Steven M. Quist, the retiring chief executive officer, who has headed the Company since 1998. Quist and Iverson will remain on the board of directors, and Dr. Steven K. Case, the CyberOptics'founder, will continue both as chairman of the board and his active, part-time employment with the Company. Iverson has served on the CyberOptics board since 1998.
