SAN RAFAEL, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 6, 1995-- StereoGraphics Corporation today announced that CyberMind Virtual Reality Centers will retail StereoGraphics Corporation's new SimulEyes VR stereo-vision 3D glasses through its virtual reality centers.

CyberMind is the world's largest operator of virtual reality location-based entertainment with over 20 centers internationally.

SimulEyes VR technology, used for years in sophisticated workstation environments, uses liquid crystal shutters which rapidly alternate in synchrony with left and right eye views on the computer monitor. The shutters ensure that the left image is seen only by the left eye while the right image is seen only by the right. The mind then fuses the two images, as with normal eyesight, to restore depth perception.

At $179 suggested retail price (SRP), SimulEyes VR stereo-vision glasses offer stunning visual effects, are simple to install, include multi-user capability, and weigh less than two ounces. Up to four glasses may be plugged into a single SimulEyes VR control box, which requires four AA batteries. Add-on glasses are available for $99 SRP. In addition to the control box and glasses, the package includes a stereo-vision CD-ROM of Interplay's Descent, Destination Saturn specially modified for SimulEyes VR.
