CyberMedia to offer OEMs special versions of Oil Change software.

Tourism and retailing are important, and the city has motion-picture, biotechnology, and software industries. , Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 14, 1996--CyberMedia Inc. announced an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) The rebranding of equipment and selling it. The term initially referred to the company that made the products (the "original" manufacturer), but eventually became widely used to refer to the organization that buys the products and  program for its new Oil Change software that can provide OEMs with custom versions of this automated-updates utility.

This will provide vendors with limited-functionality versions of Oil Change that they can bundle with their products at a low unit cost.

Oil Change software compares current software and driver revision levels See version number.  on a user's Windows PC An x86-based computer that runs some version of Windows. It notifies users when updates are available, and after asking permission, automatically fetches and installs them.

Oil Change will be available as a retail product in September for less than $70 (suggested U.S. resale at participating resellers).
