CyberIQ Systems, a leading provider of e-site resource management appliances, today announces two new additions to its traffic management product portfolio - HyperWAN and HyperFlow3. Both products will be demonstrated at NetWorld+Interop in Las Vegas Las Vegas (läs vā`gəs), city (1990 pop. 258,295), seat of Clark co., S Nev.; inc. 1911. It is the largest city in Nevada and the center of one of the fastest-growing urban areas in the United States. , May 8 - 12, 2000, in booth No. 248.

"CyberIQ Systems now has a scaleable range of products which can accommodate small corporate e-sites or Global Internet Service Providers Internet service provider (ISP)

Company that provides Internet connections and services to individuals and organizations. For a monthly fee, ISPs provide computer users with a connection to their site (see data transmission), as well as a log-in name and password.
," said John Maddison, vice president of marketing at CyberIQ Systems. "Both HyperWAN and HyperFlow3 compliment each other by offering distribution and clustering of application servers on a hierarchical basis."

"The Internet Traffic Internet traffic is the flow of data around the Internet. It includes web traffic, which is the amount of that data that is related to the World Wide Web, along with the traffic from other major uses of the Internet, such as electronic mail and peer-to-peer networks.  Management market is growing rapidly," according to according to

HyperWAN

HyperWAN provides wide area traffic distribution for globally dispersed e-sites and supports standard protocols OSPF (Open Shortest Path First) A routing protocol that determines the best path for routing IP traffic over a TCP/IP network based on distance between nodes and several quality parameters.  and BGP (Border Gateway Protocol) The routing protocol that is used to span autonomous systems on the Internet. It is a robust, sophisticated and scalable protocol that was developed by the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF). . Integrated DNS (Domain Name System) A system for converting host names and domain names into IP addresses on the Internet or on local networks that use the TCP/IP protocol. For example, when a Web site address is given to the DNS either by typing a URL in a browser or behind the  services allow HyperWAN to act as the primary DNS server A dedicated server or a service within a server that provides DNS name resolution in an IP network. It turns names for Web sites and network resources into numeric IP addresses. DNS servers are used in large companies, in all ISPs and within the DNS system in the Internet, a vital service  with a variety of metrics and mechanisms that direct users to the most appropriate site in relation to proximity, usage, availability, responsiveness and response times. HyperWAN can interact with the site routing to provide traffic redirection at the Autonomous Systems (AS) domain of the Internet eliminating the need to have a HyperWAN at each physical location.

HyperFlow3

HyperFlow3 is switched-based and enables large cluster configurations with 24 10/100 and one Gigabit Ethernet ports. HyperFlow3's switch-based platform provides consistent high performance and allows all features to be supported simultaneously without affecting the maximum performance of the unit. HyperFlow3 supports all common devices found at an e-site including web servers, firewalls, caches, VPN (Virtual Private Network) A private network that is configured within a public network (a carrier's network or the Internet) in order to take advantage of the economies of scale and management facilities of large networks.  elements, FTP servers, DNS servers, e-mail systems and proxy servers. With a height of just 1U, HyperFlow3 reduces the valuable space required in the rack leaving room for additional servers/web capacity.

HyperWAN and HyperFlow3 are part of a product family that includes HyperSwitch and HyperFlow 2. HyperSwitch offers a quick install, e-site clustering solution for small sites. HyperSwitch provides up to 8 10/100Base connections and is pre-configured for ease of installation. HyperFlow 2, the InternetWeek magazine "1999 Best of Breed" award winner, provides a fully featured e-site clustering solution among heterogeneous Internet servers. HyperFlow 2 uses a switch-based architecture with hot standby capability.
