CyberGuard Corporation and Symantec Corporation Enter Into Preferred Partner Agreement; CyberGuard Firewall for Windows NT to Support Norton AntiVirus for Firewalls.

LAUDERDALE, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 15, 1998--CyberGuard Corporation (NASDAQ: CYBG), a leading provider of enterprise security and electronic commerce solutions, today announced that it has entered a Preferred Partner Agreement with Symantec Corporation (NASDAQ: SYMC), the worldwide leader in utility software for business and personal computing. This agreement makes Symantec's Norton AntiVirus product the preferred anti-virus solution for the CyberGuard Firewall for Windows NT(R) and enables CyberGuard to benefit from joint marketing efforts through Symantec's Preferred Partner Program.

The CyberGuard Firewall for Windows NT is the first fully-scalable firewall for the Windows NT environment.
