CyberGuard Corporation (OTC:CYBG), the technology leader in network security, today announced that Paul Henry, who has been serving as managing director of the company's Asian and Latin American operations, has been named vice president of sales. Since Henry took over responsibility for CyberGuard's efforts in Asia in 1999, sales and market share have increased dramatically. Revenue from the Pacific Rim has grown at greater than 100 percent CAGR (compound annual growth rate) for two consecutive years, a rate that exceeds revenue growth in other geographic market areas.

One of a limited number of security professionals around the world who hold the prestigious CISSP certification, Henry has more than 20 years experience in the information security field. He moved to CyberGuard in 1998 from RTP Corporation where he was responsible for developing and implementing system design, maintenance and disaster recovery plans utilizing RTP's NRC 1E fault-tolerant product line. Prior to that he led Indeck Power Equip Company's conversion from smaller pneumatic control systems to complete plant digital control. At CyberGuard, in addition to his successful development of the Asian market, Henry has provided analysis and research support on security projects in the Asian ISP/ASP markets, Saudi Arabia's National Banking System and in the US on the DOD Satellite Data Project.

An accomplished author, Henry has published a number of articles and white papers on firewall architectures, covert channel attacks, distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks, common mode noise and common mode rejection, PLC programming and buffer over-runs. He is also in demand as a presenter and has delivered keynote speeches at security seminars and conferences worldwide on topics including DDoS attack risk mitigation, firewall architectures, intrusion methodology, enterprise security and managed security services.
