CyberFone Founder and CEO Dr. Rocco L. Martino to Be Honored at TechFEST '99.


WAYNE, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 14, 1999--

CyberFone founder and CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  Dr. Rocco L. Martino will be honored with the 1999 "eCommerce Solutions Award" at TechFEST '99, to be held from July 15-17 at the Allentown Hilton in Allentown, PA.

Dr. Martino will also be the keynote speaker at the event, delivering an address entitled "Beyond the Millennium" from 12 noon to 1:30pm on Friday, July 16th.

This honor follows closely behind Dr. Martino's "Lifetime Contribution to Information Technology" award he received in April from the prestigious Monte Jade Science and Technology of Greater Philadelphia organization. Dr. Martino was also recently elected to the Board of Directors of the National Legal Center for the Public Interest The National Legal Center for the Public Interest is a US law and educational foundation with a membership of many prominent conservative lawyers. Fred Fielding is the chairman of the foundation. .

Dr. Martino is an internationally known scientist, educator, and entrepreneur. He is now launching a new venture called CyberFone, Inc. CyberFone(tm) is a transaction-oriented telephone-computer utilizing a patented software operating system that allows the CyberFone(tm) to be a all-purpose Internet or computer access device under varying scenarios without modification of the operating system.

The cross-platforming feature allows for system independence and allows the CyberFone suite of products to be run on a variety of operating systems, including Windows, Solaris, Macintosh, Unix, and Linux.

Dr. Martino serves on various university and charitable foundation boards in the United States and abroad. He is the author of twenty books and well over two hundred papers on management, finance, corporate treasury operations, and computer systems.
