 Orleans in Quebec, Canada as its home healthcare technology partner of choice. The CLSC, or "Centre local de services communautaires," is a provincially funded community health care institution in the province of Quebec. There are a total of 147 CLSCs throughout the province. CyberCanadaCare was awarded full partnership status in the Canadian telehomemonitoring project, which includes a commitment to deploy a minimum of fifty Electronic HouseCall(R) (EHC EHC Environmental Health Criteria

(TM)) patient monitoring units, subject to regulatory approval, provincial certification for the EHC(TM) to be linked through Quebec's integrated health service network and interface of the EHC(TM) with the CLSC's electronic medical record information systems. This status also affords CyberCanadaCare introduction of the EHC(TM) system to other CLSCs in the province as well as healthcare agencies throughout Canada.

This project, called the "CLSC of the Future: Homecare and Telehealth Project," is part of CHIPP CHIPP Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park (Canada) , Canada Health Infostructure Partnerships Program, a nationally sponsored initiative. The goal of this two-year, $80 million federal program is to apply innovative technology towards improving the health and the health care services available to all Canadians. One aim of the CLSC's project is to improve the follow-up of chronically ill patients by increasing availability of clinical data for access by all the health providers involved in a patient's care. This project will introduce a combination of enabling technologies, intervention and management processes that will improve the use and distribution of clinical and management information, thus widening the range of care and maximizing the effectiveness of personnel involved in supporting patients in their own home.

The CLSC Orleans chose the Electronic HouseCall(R) system over others evaluated because of its diverse product line. The project will use two types of monitoring: store-and-forward data only and real-time audio/video/data sessions. The surveillance technology will gather, by telemetry telemetry
