CybeRecord, Inc. (NASD OTC: CYRD) announced today that it has appointed Charles Childers as marketing director of its automatic microfilm digitization products to the manufacturing and engineering sectors.

Mr. Childers comes to CybeRecord after a 20-year career at The Boeing Company, Seattle, Wash., where most recently he was director of sales and marketing for the Marine Systems Division.

ScanServer automatically interprets the cards' Hollerith code punches during scanning, thereby eliminating the costly manual interpretation processes often associated with traditional conversion methods. Manual interpretation may drive service bureaus to charge as much as a dollar per image, whereas CybeRecord charges only a penny per image on the standard month-to-month ScanServer rental program, regardless of microfilm format.

Another benefit the scanner brings to these markets is its high-speed, high-resolution camera, which incorporates the latest version of Kodak's CCD solid-state 8800-element camera chip, specifically designed to capture microfilm images of D-size engineering drawings at 400 pixels per inch.
