Cyanoacrylate adhesives.

An adhesive substance with an acrylate base that is used in industry and medicine.
 adhesives are designed to cure rapidly in dry environments and on acidic acidic /acid·ic/ (ah-sid´ik) of or pertaining to an acid; acid-forming.

 surfaces, conditions where cure time is typically delayed. Loctite 4500 and Loctite 4501 instant adhesives are said to cure up to five times faster than traditional cyanoacrylate adhesives on certain substrates. Both surface insensitive cyanoacrylates are designed to rapidly bond a wide range of metal, plastic and elastomeric materials, and are said to be particularly effective on acidic, porous porous /por·ous/ (por´us) penetrated by pores and open spaces.

These products also are said to maintain their liquid performance properties well over their entire shelf life. Loctite 4500 is a single component gel cyanoacrylate formulated specifically for use on dry or acidic surfaces. Loctite 4501 is a wicking wicking Infectious disease Enhanced penetration of liquids, and small pathogens, through minute holes in latex membranes–eg, surgical gloves, which may develop when washed with surfactants, an effect that militates against the re-use of certain materials  viscosity, single component cyanoacrylate designed to maintain its cure speed for an extended time period.
