Boca Raton-based CyLex, a leading global Application Service Provider (ASP) in outsourced document management services is sponsoring an Advanced Internet Technology Series of six seminars presented by The Florida Atlantic University College of Engineering and the FAU Internet Institute this fall.

The informative seminars are designed to enhance the technical skills of local professionals working in Internet fields. The first seminar is scheduled for Tuesday, August 29 and will cover "Practical Security Issues on the Net." The balance of the programs will be held every other Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. on the Boca Raton campus.

"This program is taking technology to the community and further defining South Florida's role as a worldwide Internet industry hub," said Scott Adams, Co-founder, President and Chief Strategist of Cenetec, a high technology accelerator located in Boca Raton. Adams was instrumental in launching the Internet Institute at Florida Atlantic University's College of Business which is an initiative aimed at spurring the growth of South Florida's Internet-based industries.

A certification of completion will be awarded to participants who complete all six seminars in the series.

Attendance is limited and registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. The cost for all six seminars is $200. Individual programs are $50 each. Seminars will include light refreshments beginning at 5:30 p.m. and will provide ample time for questions and discussion following the presentations. A networking reception will follow each program.
