Cuts pledge by Osborne; SPENDING.


GEORGE Osborne yesterday said the Tories are looking at cuts on vital services.

The shadow chancellor said he had been studying how Canada slashed spending on defence, transport and local government by up to 20%.

And, while warning there could also be tax rises, he refused to rule out enforcing similar cuts if the Tories win the next election.

He told BBC BBC
