Guys with short, highlighted hair were seen as confident and sexy, but self-centered. On girls, the equivalent style was perceived as the most confident, but the least sexy. A smart cut for guys was a medium-length side part to signal intelligence. A medium-length, dark-colored, casual cut beamed goodnaturedness for girls. So should you worry about a bad hair day?
