Customs is levying Albanians: extremely small participation in Macedonian Customs Department.

Customs Department director Vanco Kargov does not have a single Albanian advisor, while all seven assistant directors are Macedonians. Of the 37 heads of the Customs Department branches through Macedonia, only the heads of the Struga and Blace branches are Albanian. Over 30 individuals were hired by the Customs Department a week ago, but no one wants to say how many Albanians are employed in this institution. BDI tried a number of times to appoint Nazim Bushi deputy director of this institution, but Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski rejected this proposal. The position deputy director of the Customs Department remains vacant, even though a year has passed since the coalition between VMRO-DPMNE and BDI was formed.
