Customers Take Lead in Racing.

WASHINGTON, N.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 9, 1999--

Fountain Powerboat Industries comments on change in racing efforts

"What wins on Sunday sells on Monday". The adage of the Auto Company's commitment to NASCAR NASCAR (National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing), organization that sanctions American stock-car races, est. 1948. It held its first race in Daytona Beach, Fla.  applies to offshore performance boats as well. Fountain's past race efforts are paying off as its customers at their own expense are carrying the performance image and promotion of the Company on the offshore race courses.

This past weekend, customer owned Fountain powerboats entered four classes at the Super Boat International races in the Bahamas and came away with four first places in class and first overall. Victories included first overall, Super V, B class and the important manufacturer's Factory Two class.

At the same time another Fountain owner entered and won the manufacturer's Factory Two class at the APBA APBA American Power Boat Association
APBA Asociación de Psicólogos de Buenos Aires (Spanish)
APBA Australian Power Boat Association
APBA Autoridad Portuaria de la Bahía de Algeciras (Spanish)
 races in California.

Customers are choosing Fountain Powerboats for their racing programs due to the proven, superior technology and performance of Fountain Powerboats. This allows Fountain to reduce its factory support of racing to primarily technical support of our customer's race boats; not only reducing costs, but also freeing up personnel for new product development.

In addition, over this past weekend, a Fountain 31 Sport Fisherman took first place in the Atlantic Beach Atlantic Beach is the name of some places in the United States of America:
