The mixing and compounding of natural and synthetic rubber is one of the inhouse services performed by this full-service rubber company, according to the two-page bulletin. The firm is said to have mixed all of the common elastomers used by industry, such as natural rubber, butyl, silicone and nitrile, as well as the advanced elastomers in use today, such as fluoroelastomers and fluorosilicones. The product of the company's 50 years of experience is a computerized library of formulations, including properties and applications, which are available to customers. Sixteen of these elastomers, along with their properties and applications, are described in an accompanying chart. Among the selected elastomers are natural rubber, fluoroelastomer, silicone, fluorosilicone, urethane, nitrile, butyl, EPDM, polybutadiene and polysulfide. Test results or ratings are shown for each elastomer on six properties, including hardness, tensile strength, compression set, heat resistance, ozone resistance and resilience. The literature also describes the company's mixing equipment, quality assurance procedures and custom color matching capabilities.
