Cusac Gold Mines and International Taurus Reach Agreement to Advance Cusac/Taurus Gold Project.

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 18, 1996-- Guilford H. Brett, President, is pleased to announce that Cusac Gold Mines Ltd. (TSE:CQC/NASDAQ:CUSIF) and International Taurus Resources Inc. have reached an agreement whereby International Taurus may earn up to a 70 percent interest in claims held by Cusac on the Cusac/Taurus Gold Project near Cassiar, B.C.

International Taurus can earn a 50 percent interest in claims held by Cusac on the Cusac/Taurus Gold Project by incurring expenditures of $600,000 over a 3 year period with no less that $150,000 expended in the first year of the agreement, of which the bulk of such expenditures will be committed to a drill program.

International Taurus will issue Cusac 300,000 of its common shares for the granting of such option to earn an interest in Cusac's portion of the project.

International Taurus can earn an additional 10 percent interest in claims held by Cusac in the project by paying all costs of producing a bankable feasibility study. Furthermore International Taurus can earn an additional 10 percent interest by carrying Cusac's cost of developing the Cusac/Taurus Project to commercial production. The agreement calls for International Taurus to be the operator of the project.
