), announced today the first in a series of major retail agreements for distribution of the company's new product, uniView(TM). Miami-based BrandsMart, Dallas-based Communication Expo and San Jose-based Fry's will market uniView, which delivers an unprecedented array of information, communication and entertainment to the home via the television.

With uniView and a standard television, users can easily surf the net To browse the Internet. The most common Internet browsing today is done on the Web. Before the Web, the Internet was "surfed" via Archie, Gopher, WAIS and other search facilities. See surfing and how to access the Internet. , talk on the phone, fax and e-mail, access TV listings and parental control features, and program VCRs. A printer port allows for printing information from Internet searches, faxes and e-mails. And, a credit card reader can automatically send encrypted credit card information for purchases. The retailers will provide expert merchandising and sales for the first phase of the uniView rollout.
