Business Editors
TORONTO, Ontario--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 17, 2000--CURTIS
INTERNATIONAL LTD., (NASDAQ: CURT) reported revenue and income for its
third quarter of fiscal 2000.
Third quarter net income was $212,584 for an increase of 7.9% from
$197,050 in fiscal 1999. Nine month net income increased by 24.2% from
$1,187,477 in fiscal 1999 to $1,474,301 in fiscal 2000. Third quarter

Nine month revenues were $36,213,846, an increase of 8.8% over last
years' $33,297,447.
Curtis' President, Aaron Herzog said, "We were able to increase
our profit levels even though sales were lower this quarter. Although
Curtis remains their primary supplier, the decision of a major
customer to shift its product mix and reduce its profile in consumer
electronics has resulted in reduced volume. Outside of this our sales
have increased, and we look forward to utilizing the additional
capacity to expand sales to existing and new customers." Mr. Herzog
added, "We are pleased with our reduction of General and
Administration expenses. We have managed to save costs both by
increasing office efficiency, and by saving warehousing costs through
consolidating several satellite warehouses into a single operating
facility."
Curtis International Ltd., develops, markets and distributes a
broad range of consumer audio and telecommunication products. Its
