Curtain up for big test.

CURTAIN Call puts his Derby credentials to the test in the totesport.com Derby Trial The Derby Trial is a race for Thoroughbred horses run at Churchill Downs at the end of April, one week before the Kentucky Derby. An ungraded stakes with a purse of $100,000, it's open to three year olds willing to race one mile on the dirt.  at Lingfield tomorrow (3.10).

Curtain Call has been quietly spoken of as a Derby type through the winter.

Impeccably bred, this Saddler's Wells colt is trained by Luca Cumani who already has two Derby winners to his name in Kahyasi and High-Rise.

He showed some decent form over in Ireland when trained by Jessica Harrington, notably in the Futurity Stakes when splitting New Approach and Henrythenavigator.

On his one run to date since switching to Newmarket he collected a modest contest at Nottingham in impressive style.

This is Curtain Call's biggest challenge to date and with an unbeaten Godolphin colt among his five opponents, Campanologist cam·pa·nol·o·gy
