Part of that investment has been a commitment to expand its capabilities in the specialty areas, intending to provide an even more valuable resource to customers seeking to diversify their product lines. Another part has been in expanding the provision of special services in addition to the usual engineering and equipment. These services include product prototyping and limited-to-medium volume production capability. This capability has proven to be key in helping customers reduce their time to market.
