Curriculum Advantage Announces Purchase of OpenBook Anywhere.

 and mathematics curriculum -- announced today that it has purchased OpenBook Anywhere and will integrate the OpenBook content into the Classworks curriculum. With this purchase, Curriculum Advantage expands their catalog of remediation resources with content specifically for English as a Second Language students.

OpenBook Anywhere is an educational resource of rich, researched-based methodologies to teach English to emergent, remedial and non-English speakers. OpenBook Anywhere activities use a combination of voice, text, video, graphics, and photos, and heritage-language translation within a framework that comprises the most comprehensive, scientifically based, English literacy teaching methodology currently available.

Classworks is successfully being used in schools across the country for remediation in language arts and mathematics education but with OpenBook content, can now be more easily used by teachers with remedial and non-English speaking students. Classworks can help any student on a remediation path to improve their scores on high-stakes tests because it includes internal benchmarking assessments that give teachers an accurate assessment of their understanding of each building-block skill.
