Curriculum Advantage Acquires Training Resources Associates.

DULUTH, Ga. -- Curriculum Advantage, Inc., a leader in computer-based student instruction in K-12 for English/Language Arts, Reading and Mathematics, announced today that is has acquired educational training company Training Resource Associates (TRA).

TRA is an education solution organization and professional development provider based in Mississippi. In a move that will considerably expand its reach and effectiveness in the Southern United States, Curriculum Advantage acquired TRA's assets, customers and employees for an undisclosed amount. The agreement was finalized on May 1, 2007. Additionally, Jo Ann Walton, who founded TRA in 1998, was named Curriculum Advantage's vice president of sales for the South region.

Professional development in the education field involves introducing educators to best practices in teaching. TRA has a slate of training programs that run the gamut from helping to advance teacher-student learning, motivation and team-building, to instruction on the most effective ways to manage classrooms, schools and districts.
