Current Technology Secures Funding and $7.2 Million In Contracts Marketing the ETG Hair Treatment Device.


VANCOUVER, B.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 29, 1996--Current Technology is closing a private placement of C$1,218,750. It has secured exclusive national distributors from five countries who have signed contracts to market the ETG ETG Enter the Game (gaming chat network)

This could represent product sales of over US $7 million. Additional long-term revenues will be generated from Technology Use Fees. Three of the five countries have received health regulatory clearance, two are in progress. Current Technology has the worldwide license to market the patented ElectroTrichoGenesis (ETG) product. The manufacturing process is underway. Initial delivery of the ETGs is expected soon. Company president, Anne Kramer reports - "We are very encouraged by this financial investment. Clearance is pending for Panama and for Korea. These contracts could provide for a minimum total purchase of 378 ETGs with a sales value of approximately US $7 million. Letters of intent have been signed by prospective exclusive national distributors in a number of other countries. These letters of intent could represent further sales of more than 1,800 ETGS. This demonstrates the Company's ability to reach its world wide, sales target of 5000 units over the next five years.

Current Technology is implementing its marketing plan which minimizes infrastructure costs and maximizes a long term revenue stream. The Company operates as the manufacturer and master distributor of the ETG device. Exclusive national distributors are being acquired and are responsible for marketing the device within their respective countries. Revenues will be generated through two sources: sales of the ETGs and Technology Use Fees.
