Current NBA Player Making Magic for Families in His Hometown with Triangle Offense.

Kenneth "Chucky" Atkins, NBA Player, Partners with C. Tate George, Former NBA Player, and Steve Kodsi, Local Real Estate Developer, to Create Affordable Housing in Metro Orlando

ORLANDO, Fla. -- When Chucky Atkins (NBA Player, Denver Nuggets) was playing basketball at the University of South Florida he looked up to Tate George, former NBA player. Not because Tate was 8 inches taller than he was but because the UConn point guard stood for something both on and off the court. The two have remained great friends through the years and Tate continues to mentor Chucky. These days they don't discuss basketball -- it's strictly business. The two have recently formed Orlando Pathway Development, LLC, whose mission is community building through the development of mixed-use and mixed-income housing. OPD is pleased to announce their joint venture partnership with Steve Kodsi (and his Orlando based real estate companies) to build "affordable" housing for low- and moderate-income families in Metro Orlando. They are currently looking at their first project located in the City Beautiful.

When asked, "Why Orlando?" Tate George, CEO-President of the George Group and managing member of Orlando Pathway Development, said, "Orlando is Chucky's home. He was born, raised and currently resides here. We both share a passion for people and changing our communities we grew up and worked in. It is our goal to have projects in every city that has embraced him and me through the years. Orlando is our pathway to future projects across the nation." Chucky Atkins responded to the same question by saying, "My dream of playing in the NBA came true when the Orlando Magic signed me in 1999. I am blessed and have an opportunity to give back to the community that means so much to my family and myself. I want to build my legacy in my hometown."
