Partner G. Michael Curran leads the firm's corporate restructuring and bankruptcy practice, providing legal counsel on all aspects of out-of-court reorganizations and workouts as well as bankruptcy proceedings. He has represented debtors, debtors' and creditors' committees, and third-party purchasers in a variety of complex factual and legal scenarios, and has also acted as special counsel. In one particular representation, Curran was lead counsel to an equity committee that created a plan that structured a complex, multi-staged settlement resulting in cash payments to equity holders in excess of $450 million.

Partner Edwin J. Tomko represents clients in federal white-collar criminal cases that involve issues relating to government contracts, financial institutions, securities matters, health care, and environmental law. He also handles federal and state administrative actions instituted by banking regulators and securities regulators, and counsels clients on various aspects of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002. He was named one of Dallas' top lawyers by D Magazine in 2003 and 2005, and a Super Lawyer by Texas Lawyer in 2004, 2005 and 2006 in the area of white-collar crime.

Before entering private practice in 1988, Tomko spent 19 years in government service, at the Department of Justice (Criminal Fraud Section), and the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Partner Michael T. Tarski brings common sense to even the most complicated business transactions. He has a varied transactional practice, including mergers and acquisitions, securities work, venture capital transactions, the formation and operation of joint ventures, complex corporate restructuring, and international business transactions. His clients include foreign companies, middle market companies, individual investors, and entrepreneurs.
