Curran's currents.Sean Curran calls his new Art/Song/Dance, at The Joyce Theater The Joyce Theater is a 472-seat dance performance venue located in the Chelsea area of the borough of Manhattan in New York City. The Joyce Theater Foundation, the organization founded in 1982 that operates the theater, also owns the Joyce SoHo dance center located in a June 7-12, "the most overtly musical theater dance I've done." He's upfront about needing more Broadway work: "If you have a dance company in America now America Now is a former politics and business TV program on CNBC with Lawrence Kudlow and Jim Cramer. The program's name was later changed to Kudlow & Cramer. America Now: the Anthropology of a Changing Culture was the original title of you gotta pay for it yourself." He will also present his post-9/11 Sonata and St. Petersburg Waltz, his tribute to Meredith Monk. Dressed in a bowler hat and vest for the waltz, Curran gestures like a rabbi or cantor, with a hint of davening (swaying in prayer), to Monk's song in memory of her Russian Jewish grandfather.
